Impression

  1. Illustration for Impression Poem

A disaster struck
on a journey; which seemed

to be the journey
of my life.

It kept me awake
more than anything, such an experience;
a one from the darkness that you shouldn’t remember,
but you’re forced to.

Out of nowhere,
magic builds up.
I am religious only at times,

but now I shall follow lively.

No other bad memories compare
to this leaving of the next greedy void,
the next abyss,

but then,

I feel my soul flourishing
in a pool of brightly coloured flowers,
the softness my heart experiences,
and the warm duvet coddling around my body,
which shall last a lifetime.
